The Last Thing I'd Ever Do, My Family's Adventure into Faith and Missions
“Kevin Miller is a highly motivated communicator in more than one field. I know him as the one who helped me structure and edit my recent book, The Last Thing I’d Ever Do. He did such a good job that when I submitted it to my publisher, it required virtually no revisions.” – Peter Jordan, author of The Last Thing I’d Ever Do
“I chose Kevin based on his excellent credentials. I expected his work to be competent. But he surprised me. His editing surpassed my great expectations.” – Ari Nemsira
“I used the network to identify my consultant for the developmental edit. I went back to Kevin for my line edit because I trusted his judgement and his price was competitive. Kevin was very helpful to me as a first time writer.” – Charles Waugh
“Kevin edited my query letter, synopsis, and novel. I was amazed at the detail and care he used to find inconsistencies. He is a wonderful editor and I highly recommend him.” – M. Gulick
The River Within by Jeff Imbach
“I am very happy to recommend Kevin. He helped to republish two of my books and redesigned the ccover and the layout. He did an excellent job.” – Jeff Imbach, author, The River Within
Persecution Complex by Jason Wiedel
“Kevin’s work editing my book was vital. Not only did he correct my mistakes, but he helped to shape my writing into a work that would better communicate my ideas and connect with my audience. Kevin helped me to organize my thoughts and directed me to resources that would help me to better flesh out my ideas. Kevin was also incredibly speedy and easy to work with. My book would not be nearly as good if it were not for his help.” – Jason Wiedel, Persecution Complex
Tethered Worlds by Gregory Faccone
“Kevin was a professional. Quick in communication and diligent in his work. He is not the kind of editor who “phones it in.” He remained genuinely interested in the subject matter, and applied his craft to hone two full-length novels to a fine edge.” – Gregory Faccone, author of the Tethered Worlds series.
“Everyone at the network is wonderful. I decided to work with Mr. Cathcart, and I could not have been happier with the results. Throughout the whole process he has been prompt with emails, flexible in terms of pricing, and always a cheerleader for the book. He made this whole process easy, when, quite frankly, I was worried about a true editor besides my friends touching the book–my worries were all unfounded. All the glowing recommendations given above are nothing compared to my appreciation for what he did for my novel. He took every sentence, every line, and the overarching feeling of hope I tried to instill in every word and truly made each one shine. He made the book, the magic, I saw in my head come through on paper. Reading through his edits and implementing them (I think there were maybe two edits I chose not to accept) made me fall in love with my story all over again. As well, his work on the query and synopsis–I say work when I really mean a complete overhaul–made both sing and were exactly what I was looking for in terms of help. I hope that my words evidence how pleased and appreciative I am of everything he did. Now I feel as though the book has a fighting chance and will stand out against other novels. If I ever need edits again, Mr. Cathcart is the first person I would email.” – Chase T.M. Anderson
Dr Brad Jersak books
“Kevin has edited six of my ten books. It’s no coincidence that these works account for 98% of my sales–four of them are Canadian bestsellers. I’ve learned to trust my writing career to his good judgment. In retrospect, I cringe to think of working without him (and my other books remind me of this). Whether I need line editing, style and content advice or a deeper structural revision, Kevin is my first choice. Period.” – Dr. Brad Jersak, author of Her Gates Will Never Be Shut, Can You Hear Me?, Fear No Evil and other works
Scoring In the Red Zone by Spencer Tillman
“Kevin gently instructed me throughout the creation of my book. Where I’d come up short, he would be there to add structure and order to my organic style of writing.” – Spencer Tillman, CBS Sports commentator and author of Scoring In the Red Zone
“Book-Editing Associates proved to be such a wise choice in finding a talented editor. Kevin is a genuine professional. His edit and review of my manuscript was thorough, punctual, and reflected his impressive skill as a writer. He answered my questions and stayed in contact with me throughout the entire process.” – Wesley Spena
“Kevin is a great editor and advisor. He caught issues that surprised me and was always available for immediate feedback. He’s a gem.” – M Aitken

“Kevin brought a fresh creative perspective that ‘freed’ me to tell the overarching story as I originally intended, injecting new excitement into the project. On the technical side, he was able to find every grammatical flaw and writing tic, helping me polish my novel to a professional level. I am grateful for Kevin’s expert advice and extremely proud of the results. When I need inspiration and technical assistance again, Kevin will be at the top of my list.” – Kate Kosel
“Kevin did a great job! He wasted no time editing my novel and gave plenty of suggestions to help develop my characters.” – Luther Berry

Chrysalis Crucible by Wayne Northey
“Kevin is an editor who (rightly!) makes you do the hard work of manuscript improvement up to the limits of your creativity.” – Wayne Northey, author of Chrysalis Crucible
“The network made it really easy to get an editor. I got two offers quickly. Since it was a small job, and I was exploring editors, I hired both of them. Kevin was a great editor. He got the work (3 chapters) done in less than two days. He focused on making the words a better reading experience, and enhanced the story too. (My wife also approved of his edits.) I was happy to have him available.” – Jimm Grogan
“Kevin provided a very thorough and thoughtful editing of a couple of my stories. He corrected all grammatical and stylistic errors. He also gave me insightful comments and suggestions about the plot and character development.” (Contact info on request)
